Blog friends are pretty amazing too!

Last week Steph featured my work on her blog, The Silly Pearl.  I met her through another blog and just became addicted to her crafts and creativity!

Look how beautiful these bridal pins are!  Amazing!!! She even has a tutorial!

And these firecrackers!  I am anxiously waiting for Chinese New Year to give these babies a try!

And wait... just one more...  How beautiful are these necklaces?!

She is an amazing mom of adorable twin girls, whom she loves to craft for!  (This is where I sneak in one more project!)

See, she's pretty amazing, huh?  Anyhoo....
She decided to take a blog break, which for me would mean no blogging... right?  No, she knows that her followers will miss having something to read. So she went and hand picked some bloggy pals to either be featured or guest post while she is absent.  And I happen to be one of the lucky blogs she featured!  So when she approached me about featuring my work, I knew right away that I need to make her her very own pendant so she can actually talk about it!  :)

I think she went above and beyond in my feature.  I am so honoured!  Thank you Steph!  And Thank you Veronica for introducing us!  So, pop on over to say Hi to Steph and tell her Steph sent you... she might be a bit confused at first, but I'm hoping she will know it's me!  :)

I have some more bloggy pals I would like to talk about... but I have been a bit under the weather. When I am myself again, I would love to introduce you to some amazing women.

Friends are Everything

These incredible ladies (minus one who couldn't make it) are my dear friends from Kindergarten.  No, not MY Kindergarten class... my daughter's!  We had quite a year and it was that challenging year that pulled us together.  I am very grateful for their friendship and don't know what I would have done without them.  Lisa, Astrid, Kelly, and Melinda... Thank you for being there for me!  (And even my youngest developed a friendship with Kelly's youngest during this year!  They crawled around together that first year... and now they are running after each other!!!  LOL)
We got together recently to celebrate birthdays that flew by during the summer.  I made these for them.

The Circle of Love pendants:
 The Circle of Love Washers:

I love the new Swarovski Birthstones that I just purchased... birthstones for everyone!!!!  :)  (I made a mistake and gave Lisa the wrong birthstone.  That was fixed but I forgot to grab a photo before handing it back to her the next day.)

A newer version of The Nanny

She must feel so blessed to have 6 beautiful grandchildren.

And for $10 more, a 16" sterling silver cable chain was included in this gift for a special grandmother:
Aren't these beautiful names?!

Dear Gabby

I did not know you.
But I knew you were loved... WELL loved. You touched so many lives and it breaks my heart that you are no longer "here."  Your family, friends, neighbors, school mates, and so many strangers (myself included) are so saddened by your loss.  The battle you fought was a difficult one.  Your courage was very inspiring.  Your life was short but your memory will remain for so long...

Gabby, may you rest in peace now.  May you no longer know the feeling of pain.

May your story and courage help others to remember YOU always.

Rest in peace sweet Gabby...

My New Partner in Crime

She and I are now addicted to working together!
Remember this?

Well, she finally finished this!

Didn't she do a great job?!  I'm sure her friend will love it!  She's going to make more -- I love it!  I think she's going to start a "Girls Rock" limited bracelet edition!

So this weekend, she spent some more time and made these:

This one is hers.  The other one is for her BFF who lives down the street from us.

I'm loving this new partnership!  :)

Labor Day?

We did not labor at all!
BBQ ribs, chicken, sausages, hot dogs, corn, arugula salad, watermelon, and pomegranate martini (which I learned I cannot handle -- wooowzer that is some strong stuff! :0)
